SAN MARCOS, TX, July 18, 2013 – Berry Aviation, Inc. (BAI) proudly announces that the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) and the General Services Administration (GSA) supporting the United States Central Command Counter Narcotics Office have exercised renewal options for BAI to continue providing airlift support in Afghanistan through 2014. Both contracts were awarded in 2010, and are currently in their 3rd option period.
The GSA contract option has a value of approximately $11 million, as part of anaward made to BAI in September 28, 2010. Under the contract, BAI provides a fixed wing aircraft, personnel and equipment to support the Department of Defense (DOD) Counter Narco-Terrorism Program Office (CNTPO) mission in Afghanistan.
The DOD United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract option has a value of approximately $30 million, as part of a task order award made to BAI in December 2010. Under the contract, BAI provides fixed wing aircraft, personnel, equipment, tools, material, maintenance and supervision necessary to perform passenger and cargo air transportation services in Afghanistan.
